In 2009, Gail Shaw had a “light bulb” moment while watching television. She saw men tucking napkins into their shirt collars, a woman spreading a napkin across her chest and tucking it into her bra straps and others fumbling to keep napkins in their laps.
After 6 years of research and development and working with a global adhesive giant to develop a hygienic adhesive that would stick to clothing and skin without leaving a residue, the GANTIK™ product was launched as the first adhesive paper napkin manufactured without silicone tape or reinforcement.
A few years later, Christian Viviers, a CEO and former consultant in the global paper and tissue manufacturing industry, was introduced to Gail Shaw through friends in the industry.
Shortly after, he founded Gant Medical, acquiring perpetual exclusive rights to patent pending technology (already granted in Europe, Australia and Russia) for the dental and medical markets in the U.S., Canada and Mexico.
The rest is making history, every day.
Six years of research and development with a global adhesive manufacturer, and independent laboratory testing, results in a Gant Innovations exclusive adhesive that is non-toxic, non-irritating and adheres to clothing and skin, leaving no residue. Even at a small body weight.
Three years of developing state-of-the-art manufacturing machinery, adhesive application systems and a special, impervious, tissue fabric made from recycled materials results in a superior Gant product. One that safely and mutually bonds with an FDA approved hygienic adhesive that is released when the fabric is pulled apart. And one that can be economically produced to the highest quality standards.
There’s Gant Medical innovation in product design, as well. GantGuard™ Dental and Surgical Bibs and GantGuard™ Clothing Protectors are uniquely designed for greater coverage and patient comfort; better protection around the collar; elimination of alligator clips, flimsy tabs and ties and costly disposable bib holders; elimination of sterilization and prevent cross contamination; and send home happy, stain-free patients.
Our Portable Dispenser keeps all GantGuard products within easy reach, freeing up cabinets, drawers and shelves to store other needed items and instruments.
Due to the product innovations above, more innovative packaging is also possible. Unlike ordinary bibs and protectors, GantGuard products come in rolls, providing more bibs and clothing protectors in less space per shipment. Thus, bringing overall cost reduction to your operation.
